Yesterday was Boss's Day but it will be observed today October 17th. How many bosses out there will receive commendation from their employee(s) I wonder? How many bosses show personal interest in the hired help?
Commendation and a showing of personal interest goes hand in hand. They are vital to a boss/employee relationship. And how do you show commendation? By treating others respectfully and courteously. In effect, showing them that they are worthy of being treated well. 
It can promote a working relationship that encourages productivity and a working environment that accomplishes a common gold. Don't however, expect commendation or approval from everyone for that would be unrealistic.
So show your appreciation not with pointless flattery or thoughtless words but warm, sincere commendation—it can work wonders.
