One of the most challenging creative projects I did for our team was making our logo. Ever get a creative block when your looking at a blank sheet of white paper? I had to get ideas, inspiration, plus when your making your logo the one thing you don't want to do is copy someone else. Let's say a very popular logo like the Coca-Cola red swirl...You want people to think of real estate not soda pop right? So what I did was sit down and google all of the most successful logos in time, I wish I could remember the site I went to but it had all of them, Budweiser, Nike, American Airlines...every logo you have ever seen in your life! Ok, so I kind of got some ideas from the ever popular Nike swoosh (works for them). Except I flipped it the other way so it would curve around our name DeLay Team. I worked with a very talented tech-web pro, his name is Matt Way. Here is his web page to check him out http://www.wowdezign.net. He came up with the idea of the house, and to make our swoosh come out of the house like smoke from a chimney. Very clever Matt! He also put all the finishing touches and made it look very professional, which all I had at the time were scribbles on my paint program. By the way Matt and I did all of this by e-mail and he was very easy to communicate with! Lastly the colors black and red were something I thought people might remember, and the red adds some excitement so it is not too bla. Too I did not want the logo to look too masculine so I choose this font since we are a group of 4 women I wanted a soft but strong look. Check it out also on http://www.bransonhomeexpert.com
Nice logo, I know that designing a logo is difficult, and not too much fun.
