Comparison of September, 2011, residential listings for Lewisburg, WV, compared to previous month (August, 2011):

Number of September residential listings sold were down by five units - (August had 9 sold listings)

September and August pending listings were the same (3 pending)

September active listings were down by one (August had 70 active listings)

September new listings were down by 8 (August had 14 new listings)

September closings

At this time, there are 57 Lewisburg residential homes available in the MLS inventory with prices ranging from $59,000 to $950,000.

Real estate is slow at this time! Buyers are looking, but are really taking their time in making a home buying decision; yet others are waiting for banks/mortgage companys to complete/approve loans.

Hello Rebecca, that is a beautiful market report. More important, your inventory is down from 2010. We are seeing this also and in our recent meeting we have multiple offers on the lower price homes. It will be strange to move from a Buyer's market to a Seller's market. It should bring the inventory back up for people who need to list and sell. The price will have to be competitive. Nice work on your Market Report!

How big is your market area Rebecca? Seems really small from this residential market report - do you work around the county as well? The fall leaves changing on those trees are beautiful - is that a picture you took of your area? -Kasey

Kasey, Our MLS shows 264 active residential listing. I do work in the surrounding areas, but some areas are very small. The fall leaves were beautiful but the snow we had Sunday brought most of them down. I snapped this photo on a day trip thru the county.
