An 'Upgrade' for your step ladder!
If you are like most homeowners there is at least one step ladder in your garage or shed. I learned a trick many years ago from an experienced contractor to make carrying a step ladder easy.
He had installed an inexpensive handle on the side of the ladder along with a 'hook and eye fastener' to keep the ladder closed as he carried it. The handle was installed about half way down the wide ladder rail.
All he had to do was to make sure the ladder rails were 'hooked' together, pick up the ladder by the handle on it's side and carry it. No more pinched fingers and the step ladder could be carried with one hand.
