Homeowners Upset with Listing Delegation of Demised Discount Realtor
According to the Bergen Record article in the Bergen Record dated October 30, 2007, the out of business discount Realtor Foxtons is selling its New Jersey listings to Homebuilders of Rahway for $100,000. Many homeowners are furious with the concept of having their listing transfered to a company they have not chosen.
In retrospect, homeowners need to be circumspect when choosing a Realtor to represent them. Their choice should be based on numerous items:
1. Track Record of Success: How many homes has the Realtor you are interviewing Sold in the past year?
2. Track Record of Success: How many homes has the Real Estate Company sold in the past year?
3. Marketing Specialization: What is the Agent offering to have your home stand out among those homes currently on the market?
4. What is the Realtor's standing in the Real Estate Community? Have they achieved a specific level of success over a number of years?
5. What is the accessibility of the Realtor to their clients? How long will you have to wait for a return call?
6. What is the financial stability of the Real Estate Company? Are they there for the "long haul?"
The homeowners who listed their homes with Foxtons are unfortunately experiencing a Company who is more interested in Selling off their assets (listings) than taking care of them.
There are many fine Realtors and Real Estate Companies to represent Homeowners. Please spend time interviewing your options, and choose wisely.

That was a risk of doing business with a discount company. Once again you get what you pay for.
