DPS Troopers Will Be On Lookout For School Bus Road Rule Violators in Texas This Week!

                                                STOP WHEN YOU SEE THE FLASHING RED LIGHTS

Don't even think about going around that school bus when the lights are flashing. I well remember a few years ago when someone did not heed the flashing lights, went around the stopped school bus and killed a student when he stepped off the bus.

It's school bus safety week here in Texas,  DPS Troopers will either be following or riding on school buses, watching for drivers that ignore the flashing red lights and those flip out stop signs. Some folks still go ahead and pass the bus.Troopers will also be patrolling areas where school kids get picked up and dropped off.

Fines can be hefty for a school bus passing violation. It's against the law not to follow the rules.

STOP

WAIT

WATCH

WHEN THE FLASHING RED LIGHTS STOP BLINKING LET THE BUS MOVE ON TO THE NEXT STOP

Carl and Ceil, I sure have not ever been able to understand why folks feel the need to drive around a School Bus which is stop letting young folks get on or off of the Bus.
