Many of you know our fellow ActiveRain member and blogger Missy Caulk. We have come to know Missy through her informative blog, extensive knowledge, and her humor. She is an Ambassador and also has family ties to the AR community... her daughter Christa Caulk Stewart is married to our very own Bob Stewart.

Missy's son Jamie Caulk was in a terrible, life-threatening car accident recently. Fellow AR Ambassador Jeff Belonger wrote a moving blog asking for AR support and prayers. Although the blog was featured, it has almost 100 comments and promises of prayer and positive thoughts for Jamie. It has been re-blogged 21 times! This post is far-reaching and has been shared on Facebook and Twitter. I have been getting updates via Facebook today. The AR community have gathered together and are asking their friends, fans and family to pray for Jamie. This one post has created a huge wave of love, prayers and positive support for the Caulk family and for Jamie's recovery.

Will all of these prayers help? I don't know. Prayer is a powerful thing... and the more we send the better. The ActiveRain community has the ability to band together and do some miraculous things. I believe that Fall truly is a season of miracles, and with our prayers and positive thoughts, I hope that we soon hear of a miracle for Jamie and the Caulk family.

Somehow I had missed the terrible news about Jamie's accident. I totally believe in the power of prayer. It just broke my heart to read this post and I immediately prayed for his recovery. This is so wonderful of you to get the word out, more and more prayers for a speedy recovery is what Jamie needs. I pray for his family as well. Kathy, although the outcome did not come in the form of what we wanted, the fact that the chain reaction was so swift and strong that in itself was a miracle. There are thousands of people around the globe who are lifting the Caulk family up in this very difficult time. I left her a poem on Facebook when I found out that Jamie's path took him away from his family here, my own words escaped me.

Kathy, You know, I completely missed Jeff's post as I was following along on Facebook for updates. I did get a call from Missy the day before Jamie died and I can't tell you how heart-wrenching this tragedy was. She is such a wonderful mother and to lose her fine young son so early in life, just breaks my heart. What is truly touching is, however, the connections that we've all made here in the Rain. To know that Jeff cared enough to write a post and 21 people re-blogged it, commented, prayed each and every day and was here to support the Caulk family just shows what a wonderful community we share here. It IS a miracle!

I think the wave of support the Caulk family received through prayer and assistance from the community was probably the biggest Fall Season of Miracles that our community has ever seen!
