Chris - Well, that sure beats a boring old barn exterior with nothing on it but a coat of paint!  Someone had fun with this barn.  You could certainly call it "unique".

Chris, I remember a cool barn coming into Salinas....but not this one. I keep holding the thought to start stopping to get shots of Barns that are interesting. Now that I made that intention....have not been seeing any worth taking the shot....LOL! Too funny.....soon...someday soon....I'll share a Barn photo. Front doors and Barns....are cool....thanks for bringing us a cool barn!

That is a fun barn. Someone was being creative. For some reason when I first saw the barn, the first thought was the movie "League of Their Own". Not sure why though.

I own a big barn but no tattoos. The one you captured is about as all American as you can get. Chevy, baseball, where was the apple pie in the barn mural?

Love what you're doing with your blog, Chris.  I'm new to ActiveRain and a new subscriber to your stuff!  This is a great shot, thanks for sharing it!

Chris, you have to remember that what comes out of the camera is just the basics to start with. After you take the picture you have to develop it, just like we did in the pre-digital days. The only difference is that now you develop pictures with software like Picasa, Picnik, Gimp, Lightroom. Elements, Paintshop, Photoshop, and on and on (those are just the seven that I use here).

I downloaded your two pictures, which were PNG files (why? set your camera to JPG files) and spent about 30 seconds on each one:

Once you learn all that, then you can go further and do some cropping, vignetting, replacing the gray sky with a beautiful blue sky, etc.

Chris, I love it. Sometimes when I see such a scenery, I do have to pull over to 'cath the moment". How have you been?
