October 20, 2011 – It’s National Brandied Fruit Day!

Brandied Fruit??  Wow, makes me think of Fruit Cake, and I’m not a big fan of dried fruit anyway…

But, then I thought…  Well yes, of course, it could be cause for celebration.  WOW!   I’m sure I would enjoy coming up with some brandy recipes on a cold evening, wearing my Snuggy blanket!!

Who came up with this day anyway??  A hand full of tipsy cooks who proclaimed, “I will make the best brandied fruit ever!!  Hmmmm, I still think it’s missing something”…?

Whoever or however this day originated, I’m sure it was blissful.  So, enjoy today with family and friends.  And who knows?  Maybe you will create something extraordinary.
