95 / Loop 230 crossing over the Colorado River into Smithville Texas

You are looking at the Colorado River from the old bridge on Loop 230 entering Smithville from Highway 71.  It is currently under construction so it is important to heed the speed limit signs and to slow down before entering town.  Sounds like the plans are to build a completely new bridge.  They may do like in Bastrop and leave the old bridge for a walking bridge.  It will be nice to have better acess over the Colorado into Smithville!
