Google Holloween

It's Halloween.... How do you market yourself? I use to go around delivering pumpkins to real estate offices with painted faces on them and my name painted on the back.

I am always impressed on the different marketing techniques that Google has to offer. But in all honesty, I am a little disappointed in this years image in regards to Halloween. I personally find in bland and boring. But then again I just do mortgages for a living. But I do consider myself very creative. How do you consider yourself? What do you think about Google's Halloween image?

The importance of marketing should be a part of everyone's business plan. Whether it's mortgages, real estate, selling ice cream, etc, etc.  There are many ways of marketing yourself. One popular form of marketing recently has been blogging. I know it's added a lot to my business in the last 6 months and I look forward to exploring more options in the near future.

How do you view blogging? What kind of tool has it become for you?  Do you just blog on one type of topic that appeals to a certain part of the public and those on ActiveRain? Do you think outside the box and use the internet to your advantage?  What I mean about this is that you write about many different subjects and topics.

Below are a few blogs that I wrote in regards to marketing and I wanted to share these. I have learned so much  since then and look forward to learning more from any of what you all have to offer.

The next set of blogs are those about Google and their unique way of marketing their new images. I have found most to be very creative and relating to the certain holidays surrounding these changes. What do you think about their marketing?

Lastly, have you ever searched Google itself and viewed their many different search engines for different items and topics? I never knew that they had so many outlets. You should check some of these out.

Fran.... thanks Fran and for stopping by.

Kris.....   at one of my previous companies, there was a loan officer in my office that actually used this method with the same candy. I am not 100% sure what it said. Something like what you said I think... but good idea and thanks for sharing this.

Jeff, it's good to see you back.  As always a very valuable post.  Sometimes it's just hard to find the time to self promote.  That's where planning comes in I guess.

 Happy Halloween!

Rob....  yes, the pumpkin advertising one I think is one of my better ones that I started sharing on myspace several years ago. And no, there was no guy in that description that came to my house last night.

Dana....   Happy Halloween to you to and thanks for stopping by.

Desiree..... lol  thanks for the explanation. And yes, your Packers won, I already heard it from my Aunt in Chicago the same night that they won.  lol

Kate.....  thanks, good to be back. So true about planning. Even the busiest will be okay and keep doing well if they have a plan and a schedule. Thanks for the compliment.

Marti.....  so true that Google can amaze me. But I guess it can be somewhat easy since they have cornered that market now also. But they don't sit back, they are always thinking, which will keep them number one. So many fail because they get to the top and then sit back...  I know, I have done it before.

Thesa..... hey sweetie. Hope the trip went well and look forward hearing from you later.

Jason....  thanks and Happy Halloween. You would be surprised on all of the Google links that are out there.

Hi Jeff - great welcome back post!!!  You did some work to come up with all those Google links and what they all are!  I never knew there was so much out there to check on!

Did you notice how the "o" is not reflected in the mirror???

Jeff, You do have to give Google kudos on not reusing images every holiday. They do come up with original ideas. Not all original ideas are snazzy, but, as long as they differ and are enjoyable, it is miles farther than a standard.

Cheers,

Roberta......  my pleasure, thanks for stopping by.

Ann.......  thank you. And yes, there are lots of links and even more that I left out. In regards to the 'O', no, I didn't realize that. Thanks for pointing that out.

Lydia....  I agree with you, giving Google kudos.  I actually agree with all of your statements. It is better to be different and original than having the same thing all of the time. Overall, even though it's not snazzy this time, just thought it could be a little better?  Maybe there is a hidden meaning from the creator.???
