Stuck in Yesterday

“You can’t have a better tomorrow

if you’re thinking about yesterday.”

Charles Kettering, inventor

As I see it . . . . . . .

Stuck in yesterday

It becomes very easy to get stuck in yesterday.

Wishing that the market would return to what it used to be. That an old relationship could be rekindled and be just the way it use to be and many others things get us stuck in yesterday.

The wish of list of: I wish everything could be like it was yesterday can become long lists of wishes of regrets. The longer that list becomes, the heavier the weight is that your carry around with you. What started out as I wish, becomes a back breaking burden that can overwhelm you.

You create your life by looking forward and making the best of your day using the resources that you have. Not by looking back and carrying regrets around with you.

Take each day and live it to its fullest and your days will become the stepping stones for your future achievements.

We all will experience bad days in our lives as we are move forward, the secret is to make the best of the day and the condition that we encounter and they will soon pass.

Each day is your to live to the fullest as you do you won’t get stuck in yesterday.

We aways have to look forward to tomorrow.   Yesterday is a sweet memory, today is all we have, but tomorrow is a promise that we can hope to see.

Lou, life is too short to let personal history to stop anyone from moving forward. Forgive and forget and move on and learn not to make the same mistake again. Thanks for your motivation.

Lou,

Compartmentalize yesterday and move to the future. Thinking about the past can be counterproductive.

Be in the moment.  Focus on the present and the future will take care of itself but be mindful of the past.
