Why Buy a San Jose Home on a Busy Street: Part 3 Fewer Solicitors
By Michelle Carr-Crowe, San Jose Lynbrook High Home Expert Selling Homes in Cupertino Schools
Did you know there are multiple benefits to buying a home on a busy street in San Jose, Calif., especially a West San Jose home with Cupertino Schools? Before a buyer outright rejects a home sight-unseen on a busy street, I recommend buyers at least research homes on busy streets in West San Jose with Cupertino schools as part of their market research.
At the very least visit the virtual tour or an open house to see the pros and cons of how that San Jose home in Cupertino Schools on a busy street possibly meets their needs, including financial affordability, in comparison to other options.
In my first post Why Buy a Home on a Busy Street? Number One Reason is Price!, I showed that the First Reason to consider buying a home on a busy street in San Jose, Calif. is it’s usually less costly than one on an inside street. It can mean the difference in affording a single family home instead of a townhome, for example. In my second post, I showed The Second Potential Benefit to Buying a Home on a Busy Street can be Less Crime.
The Third Benefit to Buying a Home on a Busy Street in West San Jose, Calif. can be Fewer Solicitors-real estate, legitimate or otherwise.
While a real estate professional like me who specializes in your neighborhood may knock on your door to say hello and share market information with you, most real estate agents won’t even knock on your door if your home is on a busy street in West San Jose or Cupertino. Do you know why? They are (usually) looking for new listings (homes to sell), and they know many buyers prefer inside streets, so they focus their efforts on the “easy pickings” there.
Although legitimate organizations such as the U.S. Census surveyors and political groups seeking signatures for petitions will still come by, fewer representatives from other companies will.
Other questionable groups, such as magazine salespeople seeking subscriptions so they can get “points” and “earn money for college” or contractors “with extra materials” seeking victims also prefer to work on inside streets. They want to avoid police patrols and stay away from the attention of savvy citizens who’d notice and report on suspicious characters or a big van dropping off a half-dozen scruffy youth to work the neighborhood.
One of my former clients estimated that moving to a busy street reduced her door-to-door solicitations by about two-thirds—a benefit she gladly shares with anyone considering buying a home on a busy street in West San Jose with Cupertino Schools.
Before bypassing what could be your dream home because it's located on a busy street in West San Jose., Calif., why not take a look at homes like the Upgraded 4 Bedroom with NEW Granite Slab Kitchen at 6312 Bollinger Road at next weekends’ open house, and examine all of your options before choosing the perfect home for your family.
