FIVE MONTHLY FIX-IT SOLUTIONS AND MONEY SAVING TIPS

Putting (or Keeping) a few extra dollars in your pocket each month is not always an easy task!  Try these five ideas on for size:

1)    Library Luxuries – Many consumers are going “old school” these days and putting a weekly trip to their local library back on their to-do list.  Get the latest books, surf the internet for free, check out DVD’s and music and even master a new challenge.  With fees a minimum and amenities a maximum, break out your local library card today!

2)    Take a Hike – I mean that in a good way!  Hike, or comb a beach for shells, or take a camping trip or visit a park or preserve as a family’s day trip instead of a pricey theme park or even the movies which can run upwards of $50 - $80 for just two to four people with concessions.

3)    Let go of that latte – Skip your morning chain store latte just a few times a week and you can save $20 or more! Get a thermos, fill it a home and save!

4)    Turn it down – Cooler weather is here! Make sure your thermostat reflects the change!

5)    Stop it up – Now is the perfect time to check and replace weather stripping on doors and windows that let heat and air out and the elements into your home!  You can save a bundle in energy bills.
