Pay It Forward With Food

Last week it was pretty simple to 'Pay It Forward'. It was Thanksgiving here in Canada last week. You couldn't help but think of those less fortunate.

Pumpkins, turkeys, fancy food platters and pretty flowers were everywhere and so were food donation bins. Many stores even offered bags already filled with a selection of items for sale. You didn't even need to think about what items to donate! Does it get any easier than that?

Food donation bag So on our shopping day we just picked up a few bags and dropped them in the bin on our way out of the store.

It did make us think though; people get hungry everyday, not just on special occasions.

Al & Peggy... Wow, Thanksgiving comes early in Canada! What a lovely and thoughtful way to Pay It Forward. I've made many 'extra' plates of food on Thanksgiving Day and driven around looking for homeless people who needed a hot meal. I can tell you I was met with nothing but smiles... which warmed my heart ;-)
