This 6 bedroom South Columbia House sold in 7 days for $752,000The Summer’s stragglers and some nice homes that came on the market late in the summer season sold last month, totaling 15 homes sales in Bexley during the month of September, 2007.

There are 109 active single family homes for sale in Bexley as of today with another 17 in contract.

In September, 5 South Bexley homes sold for an average of $124.73/sq ft. while 5 Central Bexley homes averaged $161.03/sq ft and about 1200 sq ft bigger.

The 15 homes that sold last month averaged a speedy 45 days on market.

879 Francis was the least expensive home to sell in September, a 3 bedroom one bath cape cod typical of South Bexley and not a bad address for only $142,500.  It was on the active market for 30 days.

The most expensive home to sell last month was a twenty year old ultra contemporary on North Parkview; 7700 sq ft, 5 bedrooms, 5 full, 3 half baths and a killer pool.  I really liked this house when I went through it but thought it might linger on the market awhile because of the $1.5MM price tag and the fact that Bexley Buyers often prefer old-school character and charm to modern.  A stunning seven days later, it went into contract and sold for $1.25MM last month, just what the sellers paid for it 7 years earlier.
