Motivational Power Quote

Taking Personal Responsibility

“When we blame,

we take away our power.”

Greg Anderson, professional hockey player

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Taking personal responsibility

Taking personal responsibility for the direction that your life takes and for your success puts you in control of your success journey.

You and you alone choose the path that you pick to travel on your success journey. At any time you can make a decision that you want to change the direction of your life.

If you are not happy with the direction that your life is taking you: change it. What you do with your life is a personal choice and you can do or achieve anything that you believe that you can do and achieve.

You can choose to live a life of unlimited possibilities or a life of self- imposed limitations

You can change the course of your life by taking the personal responsibility to change it and by taking the actions to make the change occur.

When we make a mistake, take responsibility for the mistake and the responsibility to correct it. Use your mistakes as learning experiences and move forward.

When you experience a setback take the personal responsibility for working through the setback and finding the best solution to the condition.

Taking personal responsibility for our life creates personal power and puts you in control of your life’s journey and for your results.

how true... seems to be a basic division between people who believe stuff 'happens' to them and others who believe we have the control to make stuff happen.  You have to accept responsibility and then take control.

I must agree with my colleges above. When you take responsibility for what you do, say and think, you are the master of your destiny, the captain of your ship.

Thanks Lou for the inspiration and reminder that you are the only one responsible for the actions you take, and let me know when your book is published.

Not surprising to hear this from a hockey player. When my boys played, one of the first lessons to learn was not to hit back. the guy who threw the first punch probably won't get caught, but if you respond in like kind, you're apt to end up in the penalty box.

Lou, that is another great post.  Responsibility is our ability or respond to the situation at hand.
