A Day in Portsmouth NH - Seacoast New England City. There is so much to share in October when one heads north from RI real estate as I did to see friends in NH, experience the sights of a great NH city and share a historic city that offers so much to people. Not only is it an inviting city with a seacoast that is inspiring but it is a true historic city that has been well preserved and revitalized.
Now New Hamphsire folk are known for their independence and forward and free thinking ways - there is no
doubt here. It is so prevalent here in Portsmouth! Yes, there is New Hampshire friendliness...somewhat reserved but right there in front. So here is to a seacoast new england city that I enjoyed with friends ...shopped the Farmers Market...try some pumpkin bashing...buy some local wine from Jewell Towne Vineyards....tried some goat cheese fudge(really!) and enjoyed the camraderie of just being here.
Onto downtown Portsmouth and what is in store there...residents and visitors enjoying the incredible fall sunny weather by sitting outside cafes and restaurants...it felt so much like Paris! Visited seven jewelers to straighten out my friend's wedding band but to no avail today. After much searching we ended up, from a jeweler's recommendation, going to a new mediterarranean restaurant called Zahtar. Simply fabulous food and I will tell you it is reasonable and only is open a few weeks and has already won restaurant awards. Try it!
The streets of Portsmouth NH were busy and bustling, everyone pleasant and enjoying the town and weather. Great streets conducive to knowing this could be the place I end up if I ever retire. Historic homes that capture the spirit of a seacoast faring port from way back when but a spirit that is truly alive. Explore the wonders and spirit of Portsmouth NH soon. I will be back for sure.
