Chalkboard Paint Your Pumpkin

By
Home Stager with Sharon Tara Transformations

Chalkboard paint on pumpkins?

Why not?

 It makes perfect sense....

Black pumpkins are great for decorating

tablescape with black pumpkins

but, even more important....

the kids love them!

painting pumpkins

Jack and Zack spent over an hour decorating their black pumpkins with chalk.  They love the erasing as much as the chalking!

It's easy to do.  Just tape off the stem and spray your pumpkins with

Rust-Oleum Chalkboard Paint.

Spray a second coat within an hour.

Your pumpkins will be ready for chalk art in 24 hours.

Sharon - that's very cool I would never have thought of that - I'm surprised the paint would stick to the "skin".

What a fun and unique way to "paint" pumpkins Sharon. The best part is that if you make a mistake you could always just erase it and begin again.

Sharon, very clever idea. Black pumpkins look very elegant on the table. And for the kids it's a blast.

Steve:  The paint sticks fine...the kids have scratched some paint off, but not much.

Craig:  The boys  love to scribble on them and then erase and start over.  I help them to make faces when they want to.

Anna:  They look great on a mantle too!

Nancy:  I'm sure she will love it!  Enjoy!

Hi Sharon--okay that has to be the best idea I have seen in months.  I know my grand kids are always so indecisive about what face to put on the pumpkins.  This allows them unlimited creativity.  Brilliant. I'm reposting to my FB page.
