I once told a potential seller whom wanted me to reduce my comission that you can either fly first class or you can fly in coach...which do you prefer? I've also told them that how do you think I will do when it comes time to negotiate the price of your house if I can't even get you to agree on my commission. When you cut your commission you undermine your status as a Realtor and become less valuable in the customers eyes. You bring great value to the table...and they need to know it. What do you think?

I do not like cutting my commission. I will only do it along with another agent in order to keep from killing the deal. I wont start off reducing it, you never know what to expect from the beginning to the end of a deal. Im with you on that!

Hi Wayne,
I am with you on this one.
We discussed cutting commissions today at length in a course I'm currently taking.
It's important that the sellers be aware that they are experiencing firsthand how good we are at negotiation, when we hold firm on our commission.
