Send your Handwritten Notes to Google Docs, Facebook or Evernote Etc.

One of the big things we are taught at Keller Williams is the power of the personal note.  For example after you have spoken to a lead on the phone send them a handwritten note with your business card to thank them for speaking with you on the phone.

As I am from the IT industry and for the last 15 years have written very little in my own handwriting I decided to do a search on google to see what people were using to write their hand written notes on. ( sounds funny I know but I was not even sure if I should write the note on a post-it pad or should it be something a little fancier).

Whilst I was googling I got sidetracked, (as often happens). I came across an article about using a "LiveScribe Pen" to write your handwritten notes on a piece of paper and sending it straight to your cloud, such as google docs, Facebook or my favorite Evernote.

livescribe pen

LiveScribe looks like an amazing piece of technology, as its like a regular pen but without the ink. It records everything you write on a notebook including the Audio that you hear, like when you are in a business meeting or lecture.

You draw a small double-line on the paper that you want to archive, write the destination name on that line (like “Google Docs”) and the next time you connect your pen to the computer, the note will find its way to the cloud automatically.

LiveScribe pens start at $99.

Nick - Very cool! I love all the new technology, but I still like to send a handwritten note via snail mail. People usually open these instead of sending to junk mail! Have a great day!

Nick - what a very unique concept.  When I started reading I thought you were going to say you hand-wrote a note and then scanned and sent it to the person which, I am afraid, would take away the personal touch of getting it in the mail.  This is a pretty cool tool though!

@peter, I agree. I am going to be writing the notes by hand and sending them snail mail also. It's crazy how technology seems to be everywhere trying to make our lives more efficient however we a humans get the most impact when somebody actually spends some time on something personally.
