Ok, so last night I'm watching the evening news and the Anchor is on location in the west side of Colorado Springs. People are Halloween decorating more and more these days and there are so many choices of props and do-dads that they decided to feature some "excessively decorated" homes on the evening news. It made me think about the holidays coming...why, they're already HERE!

Now, people have their favorite holidays and some don't like to celebrate at all, but I was remembering last year when the market started to slow down and all of the MLS photos featuring Christmas trees IN FEBRUARY. It gives you that old "stale listing feeling." Just something to think about when you are talking to a prospective client about holiday home dressing! Celebrate responsibly!

How would this look with your sign plopped among the tombstones?

Imagine callin for feedback on this? "What did your buyer think of the presentation?"

  "Here's the Open House, honey!"

Now maybe your clients won't get THIS carried away, but you can never be too careful. So much could happen, what with Thanksgiving, Hanuka, Kwanzaa, Christmas, New Year, and others special days coming soon. An ounce of prevention may be worth a pound of cure.

It is a bit like seeing snow in the exterior photos in July...of course here, it might just have snow on the ground too!  However, we never see grass in February, so it is easy to find photos that should have been changed out.
