Klos Diamond Center, Diamonds And Service in Huntsville Alabama
This post was inspired by Read Klos, owner of Klos Diamond Center here in Huntsville Alabama and the service I received from him. I firmly believe that most businesses offer similar products and services in their respective market and what truly distinguishes one business from another is their knowledge, commitment to service and the quality of their product.
Today I stopped for lunch at Terranova's Restaurant near my office in the Village of Providence. Next door to Terranova's is a jewelry shop, Klos Diamond Center. It so happens that I needed a new battery for my watch so this was the perfect opportunity to save myself further embarrassment such as yesterday when I was 40 minutes late to a showing...fortunately so was the buyer. Anyway, what I thought was going to be a five minute battery change turned out to be a little longer getting to know Read and about his business. As it turns out, he's also from the same state I was born and raised in for the first 16 years of my life...yes that's right for those of you who know me...I didn't always live in Chicago.
I enjoyed talking to Read and getting to know more about his business and making a connection with someone from my "other" home state. Read certainly knows diamonds and while I'm not a Gemologist, Read is, and the quality of his product is outstanding in my opinion. When I asked what the charge was for the battery, Read, said there was no charge and that it's part of the service he provides his customers. I wanted
to give him something for his time and effort and the cost of the battery, but he wouldn't accept it. So, the next best thing I can do for him is write this post with my compliments to Read Klos, a business owner who understands service.
