Make the best use of this DOWN TIME to have a good time. Now is the time to do some of the things you've been putting off and it is definitely a time to relax and have fun. Of course you are doing all the things you can think of to increase your business. Aren't we always doing that? However, do take some extra time to revitalize yourself for the boom ahead. (My glass is always more than half full...sometimes I have to be careful it doesn't spill over.)
Today was designated as SAM & ME DAY. I would like to introduce you to SAM, my 13 year old furry sidekick. This is a picture of her taken in our backyard last spring.

We left home about 8:30 to meet a contractor at one of my listings where a home inspection showed it needed some roof repairs. The day started off nippy but warmed up beautifully. Sam and I strolled along the waterfront while I took pictures of Lake Anna State Park across the way. How could I resist. The leaves were calling out, "Look at me, look at me." Anything was better than watching the roofer up on top of the A-frame house which has a 12/12 pitch roof. There was even time to catch up on some reading (FICTION!!!) and to soak up some sunshine.
SLIPPERY SLOPE

From there we stopped by the office to say a quick "hi" and then off to Fredericksburg to have passport pictures taken (Kathleen only, not Sam). With all this running around we had to fit in a stop at Wendy's for one chocolate Frosty (again Kathleen only). When we got home around 5:00 we headed to the backyard and to the dock taking pictures along the way.
Make the best use of this time, when you've got a little extra on your hands. Relax. Spend more time with those you love...two footed and four footed. Store up these fun times for when things get hectic again and they will. Maybe it won't happen as soon as we'd like but it will happen. MEANWHILE, ENJOY! MAKE IT A GOOD TIME!
Very nice Kathleen,
It is always a good time to stop and smell the roses. Somedays I look back and all I see is my work kind of scary. Glad to see a posting like this as a helpful reminder.
Thanks
