IMPACT Community Action will hold its 3rd Annual “Early Bird Special” on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at IMPACT Headquarters (700 Bryden Road, Columbus Ohio 43215) Doors will open at 5 a.m.
The 2011-2012 Home Energy Assistance Program Winter Crisis Program (HEAP WCP) starts Tuesday, November 1, 2011.
Responding to the overwhelming demand on the first day of HEAP WCP service, IMPACT will open its doors three hours early to serve customers whose utilities are disconnected.
Here are the facts:
· HEAP WCP helps low income families at or below or below 200% of the federal poverty guideline:
· The 2010-2011 HEAP WCP made 10,201 payments on behalf of families in Franklin county
· IMPACT provides a one-time payment up to $175 for utility service and also assists with bulk fuels
Appointments may be scheduled by calling 1-866-747-1038.
Applicants should bring the following documents with them to their appointment:
· Proof of total income for the last 90 days for everyone in the household 18 years of age and older
· A copy of the applicants social security card and the social security cards or numbers for everyone in the household
· Picture identification of the applicant
· Current utility bills for gas and electric; and
· If the utility services are off or being transferred to another address, a copy of the applicants lease is required.
