17 Comments on Weems-Bott Museum-Are You Brave Enough To Tour This Dumfries Landmark?
Cindy,
Oh, not me! You know, instinctively I know nothing would happen to me, but just the thought of being followed down a flight of stairs by a ghost does not rank high in my To Do List! :)
OOOh! This sounds like a spooky place I would love to visit!
Cindy, That sounds like an appropriate museum to visit this time of the year!
Are you brave enough to spend the night? Didn't realize the history of the museum went back to George Washington's day.
Even for a Gettysburg resident that sounds spooky, but way cool
Cindy Spooky indeed but full of history .. I think it is too spooky for me .. I agree with Gerry way cool
This is such a perfect time of year to tour real live haunted house or haunted place. Great localism post.
Perfect place to hold haunted house reunions. Sounds like a great place to visit.
Devona-part of me would like to see a ghost but the other part of me agrees with you.
Carolyn-if you are ever in the area stop by to take a tour.
Tony-they have special evening tours in October for those who dare.
Pat-apparently the Mr. Weems had a way of telling stories that might not have been 100% true about George Washington.
Gerry-I would think you would have your share of haunted grounds in Gettysburg.
Hannah-oh come on down. We'll all ask to spend the night and see what happens :-)
Chris Ann-I remember as a pre-teen thinking it would be cool to go hang out in a cemetery in Lorton. We got so spooked we were home quickly.
Kay-a few paranormal "experts" have stayed in the house to try and catch some sightings and sounds. There is something going on but we all have to decide what it might be on our own.
Cindy, how did you do the picture?
William Johnson and I spent three hours last night and figured out how to add a photo directly fromiPAD to post.
