Safely Trick-Or-Treat Main Street In Hood River
This is one of our favorite Hood River traditions. Our first Halloween here, four years ago, our boys and I headed to town to scout out neighborhoods to trick-or-treat. We live in a very rural area, where the neighbors are few and far between, so to trick-or-treat out here would involve a lot of walking to visit few houses where people probably won't be home anyway.
We arrived in Hood River only to find the main road blocked off, but then discovered to our delight that it was for Trick-or-Treating. We couldn't have asked for anything better. It's like a huge block party and everyone goes. The businesses are well stocked with tons of candy, the road well-lit and it's easy to fill up in mere moments.
So, join the rest of Hood River in town this Monday, October 31st, starting at 5 p.m. and going until 8ish. We even take our chihuahua... you know you're in a dog friendly place when many businesses provide treats for pups, too! Yes, Jessa was a butterfly last year. Stay tuned for our kids' and Jessa's costumes this year!
