When I was growing up our Defiance family home had a dining room, most of the time it was a 'walk through" space to get to the kitchen or the living room. We used the dining room table as our homework area, the cat loved the dining room table, it held both our Easter Baskets and our school books! I can remember my graduation cake and it was proudly displayed on our dining room table along with many Thanksgiving dinners! Oh the conversations a dining room table must hear...

When my husband and I downsized 3 years ago I lost my dining room space, we gave our dining room table and chairs to my sister and brother in law in exchange for all his electrical help, YES I still miss my table and especially my two captain chairs... it took me years to earn those captain chairs and I loved them! I studied for my Real Estate classes and the big test around that table, I better pay a visit to my sister in law... I bet her family has had many great times around my old table in her dining room!

If my dining room could talk I am sure it would bring up the pumpkin pie that I forgot to put the sugar in . . . seems that no matter how many fantastic meals I prepare, everyone seems to remember that darn pie! Why should the dining room be any different? lol
