Morning Glory

When life hands us difficulties, it is neat to see lovely examples of winners in natural settings all around us.

The photo is of an enterprising plant that climbed up to get the sunshine it needed to prosper.  We did not plant the seed, we did not provide food because we did not know it was needed, and as you can see, it did not need our assistance.  What this beautiful plant did was simple.  It bloomed where it was planted.  It also has been making our mornings pleasant for about a week.  Although we did not plant this brave little "morning glory"  you can bet that now that we know how lovely they are... we will plant some in the future.

Hummmm.  Wonder if there are parallels we can learn from about the beauty and perseverance seen in this flower.  One could say, it is little things like this that help to make our day.  Hope it added to yours too!

Absolutely my favorite color too!   One of my husband's favorites, I endeavor to grow them every year.
