19 Comments on Grapevine Brides awaiting...or spookie ghosts in West Linn Oregon
Great photos. I remember those "veils" from when I lived out there. Thanks for the memories.
Hi Suzanne, I'm so suprised I've never seen them before now. I've been out here since 2000. I thought the grapevines looked pretty cool all covered like that. Where did you live when you were in Oregon?
Hi Cindy,
looks very spooky specially in the black and white versions, great pictures and great eye for beauty.
Hi Peter and Linda, as a kid I've always been fascinated with things that line up in rows..so this just called me to get out of the car and take a few pictures.
Hi Cindy, you just know that the day you forget to take your "real" camera the most amazing photo ops will present themselves! But, I agree, your I-phone did good and those look like "in the spirit of Halloween".. I don't think I would want to be out there at night!
Now, I have to check, did you say Llamas?
Ghosts and Goblins beware! There's a New Scare in Town! Grapevine Ghosts! Mwwwwaaaaahhhhaaaaaahaaaa....
(loved the bad blogger line, made me laugh!) Yup, these turned out very well....gotta love PicNik! (I'm assuming that was your helper in this case, right?)
Cool pics Cindy! Looks like the entire state got an early frost this year... the 'veils' all over Southern Oregon too! Spooky!
Hi Andrea, I know..bad blogger to be without a camera! Oh yes...we passed this llama on the way. His/her face didn't show too well as the camera and sun were not cooperating.
Hi Gayle, Now I always run my pictures through picnik before putting them out there....and here's why. When I get my new I-phone, if I forget my camera at least I think they'll come out better!
Hi Mel, Oh yeah, the heats on and these mornings have been a bit chilly! Soon enough I'll be lighting my first fire in the fireplace, but by this afternoon I was opening my windows. Gotta love it!
Cindy ~ I-phone or camera, those photos are great! I have never seen anything like that. The ways you placed borders on them, they look like paintings!
Hi Dawn, This is the first time I've seen them covered like that. Kinda cool! Here is a post I wrote on making those frames and borders using picnik.com..It's really easy! How to Edit Your Photos Using Picnik.com, a Video Tutorial
Hey Cindy, Great eye when it comes to the spooky grape vines. Would be great looking with a little wind and just turning dark. Have a great weekend!
Hi Cindy, what great photos and I have to say I have never seen the veils before either and I have been around here a long time too since the early 70's. Guess I just was not by the vineyards. I think our cell phones these days take really good photos. Those are nothing but great. Have a good weekend.
Boy, Cindy. West Linn, Oregon is a long way off from Medford, Patchogue and Oakdale.
Hi Will, this would be real creepy at dark...all it needs are some giant spiders sitting on top!
Hi Mary, I know..can't believe we haven't seen these before! I can't wait to see how my new phone's camera works when I get it on Monday! I looked at my sons and it seems night and day to my current one. At least I'll always have that with me.
Hi Jill, oh, it certainly is! So far I've been in three time zones. I wonder if they do this out on the north fork wineries on LI. This was always my favorite time of year to go out and pick pumpkins and stop at those fun places along the way to get fresh apple cider and lots of goodies.
Hi Cindy. It does looks a bit spooke, but these are really great photos! I enjoyed reading your post.
