Look Out The Windshield

By

Aright this is one of the most important lessons that anyone can learn in their lives.  Ready, here it is … Yesterday was yesterday and today is today.  This is a huge and important lesson to anyone who ever wanted success.

Whatever you did yesterday, whether it was the best day you’ve ever had, the worst day you ever had, or something in between you need learn from it and then let go.  This morning is a new day, a clean slate, whatever you want to say … but you need to start today at zero and looking ahead.

Think about it this way.

Focusing on what you did yesterday is like looking out the rearview mirror of your car as you’re driving.  You can do it for a while but you’re going to crash.  If you are looking out the windshield so you can see where you’re going and the chances of you getting there are way better aren’t they?  Say Yes.

So Do This

At the end of each day simply write down the 2 things you did well that day and the 1 thing that you goofed up or should have done.  We all have them.   Look at them, think about them, learn from them and then throw them into the garbage can or file them somewhere to be looked at when you retire.  It doesn’t mean they are garbage … it simply means they are done.

Here’s The Secret

Start each day looking at your weekly goal and what you need to do today to reach it.  Listen / read something positive to get you pumped up about the day and then simply go to work.  Make something great happen.  You can do it.

John - great idea.  Writing things down is a key way for most people to learn.
