All this talk of a recession seems to be media hype if you ask me. Our country came out with some GREAT numbers today in regards to the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) the overall health of our economy reported some very impressive numbers! The jobs report was also very positive. Most see oil sky rocketing and the dollar depreciating however if you ask me I will tell you the the growth in oil will not sustain it's self and we will soon see a pull back. If you are nervous about the state of our economy then check out Tips on Surviving a Recession If you play your cards right you can come out from this economic correction better than ever! Real Estate in Contra Costa area will continue to Correct for the foreseeable future.

Jason, I don't buy it.  I think that we are headed for a recession if we are not already in one.  Reality is that people have used their homes an ATM machine for too long.  The declining value of real estate will eventually hit home and hard.  It may be regional, it may be state by state but there are some areas of the country that will not recover for a while.  I'm usually an optomist, but on this one I'm not.

Jason, hype sells and fear sells, so the newspapers know how to move their product. That is for certain.
