» Boo at the Zoo: Denver Zoo, 2300 Steele St. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. includes more than 25 trick-or-treat stations, creepy crawly demonstrations and other family entertainment. Admission is $15 for ages 12 and older, $10 for ages 3-11 and free for ages 2 and younger. Tickets will not be available at the door and this event usually sells out. » Spooktacular 5K: Spring Canyon Community Park, 2626 W. Horsetooth Road, Fort Collins. 9 a.m. Includes 5K run/walk, pumpkin painting, trick or treat, kids fun run and adult and kids costume contest. Cost is $25-$30.

» Dark in the Park: Fort Collins Museum & Discovery Science Center, 200 Mathews Street, Fort Collins. Noon to 4 p.m. Help celebrate the closing and relocating by taking part in the Goblin’s Groove dance party, costume contest and other activities in the museum gallery. » Halloween on the Promenade: Promenade Shops at Centerra, 5971 Sky Pond Drive, northeast corner of Interstate 25 and U.S. Highway 34, Loveland. Noon to 3 p.m. Includes free horse-drawn hay rides, games, activity stations, goodie bags for kids in costumes, pumpkin patch, dog costume contest, cookie decorating demonstration, spooky nail painting demonstration, photo opportunities and more.
