There's lots of spooky fun to be had on the ice as Haunted Rock 'N Blades returns. Trick or Treat - Haunted Woods: All your favorite ghosts and goblins are back again this year, along with two new tantalizingly scary treat stations. Saturday, October 29: Doggone Fun...
Are you and Fido ready for some howlin’ good Halloween fun? Show off your costume creativity and help your furry friend compete for special prizes and treats at the Howloween Dog Costume Contest and Boneyard Hunt. The contest is followed by a walk through the “boneyard” to sniff out well-earned treats. Rocky Horror Picture Show: This imaginative and racy rock 'n roll musical is one of the first and only real audience participation films. Costumes are encouraged, participation is appreciated and personality is required! A shadow cast will be selected by random draw 15 minutes prior to the film screening. Haunted Hayride: Journey into the past at Laurel Hill, site of the former Lorton Prison. Discover its secrets and the stories of its past while enjoying a hayride. Delta Blues Guitarist Scott Ainslie: Part storyteller, part historian, part educator and a highly talented player. A consummate musician, Ainslie's lion-hearted voice will be accompanied by one of his choice instruments - acoustic guitar, National slide guitar or fretless gourd banjo. Halloween Family Fun Day: Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy sensational
performances perfect for the whole family. Famed storyteller Gary Lloyd will put children into the Halloween spirit, followed by a wonderful performance by Bob Brown’s Puppets in "Monster Madness." Little ghosts and goblins age 8 and younger can also try their skill at carnival games to win candy and prizes. All children must be accompanied by an adult guardian age 18 and older. Award-winning Scottish singer Julie Fowlis wows crowds with her Scots Gaelic folk song stylings. Fowlis, who has won Gaelic Singer of the Year and Album of the Year at the Scots Traditional Music Awards, specializes in the music of her native Outer Hebrides, a chain of islands to the west of Scotland.
