ET Phone Home... a famous line in a wonderful movie that captured us for some time back in the day.

Today we have another PHONE HOME need, our Soldiers in the Armed Forces, by giving a few dollars we can help them PHONE HOME for the holidays. What a great gift!!! I know I talk to my family on the phone frequently, I can't imagine being 10,000 miles away without the ability to phone home. phone

Yesterday while driving to an appointment and spending some time on the road, I heard about OPERATION CALL HOME that is being done here in Austin Texas, perhaps its being done in your area also.. Yes, today many militiary installations have computers available for the off time but not evey family has a computer to receive those emails or chats, I would bet that all have a phone though.

As Realtors we have our fingers on the pulse of the community, here is an opportunity to help the men and women who serve us on a daily basis.

What a terrific idea. So many families wanting to hear from their loved ones and you are right not everyone as a computer - plus voice contact is really important. We have a realtor in our office with a son overseas in Afghanistan and I know he loves to hear from his son - thanks so much for posting this.
