Halloween 2007 is officially over, even though I still seem to have a Superman and a Cinderella running around my living room. The kids all had fun and now it is time for the sugar overload to test the parent's patience for the next couple of weeks.

Although, once again this year, much to the kids' disappointment, there was is plenty of dangerous candy that mom and dad had to confiscate. As you can see from the picture below, I think this may have been a record year for "UN-SAFE CANDY" that had to be taken to protect the kids. - lol

But as promised, I do also have pictures of the kids in this year's choice of costumes and even though nothing too embarrassing, I still plan to have these pictures out for prom night as well as my gun cleaning supplies.

So until next year, when I get a few more good shots of the horror that is Halloween, I think it is time to put the kids back in the dungeon! (Its still a dream of mine to own a castle that has a dungeon that you can't hear the kids' screams from, that is what I would call an effective time out!)

11 Comments on Kids had fun, but I had to take a lot of unsafe candy!

It's really sad that there are freaks out there that want to hurt kids trick or treating.  I went out trick or treating last night with Anaken Skywalker... most of the homeowners made sure to tell him "may the force be with you."

Too cute... We dont get an many trick or treaters as we did growing up. But it is still fun even with a few ghosts and goblins showing up at your door.

This is way too cute!  Where'd you get such cute kids?  Must be from their mother!  Black Kitty  Don't eat too much of that 'unsafe candy'

Todd - cute, cute family! Is the halloween candy just safe for "adults"?

Scott - Our neighborhood had more Darth Vader's, what does that say about our neighborhood.

Christina - Our numbers went down this year also. We went from a peak of 132 trick or treaters five years ago to only 62 this year. A little sad and even there were less homes giving away candy this year.

Mary - Yes, looks are from the wife and possibly the mailman?

Linda - Thank you and the short answer "YES"

Todd,

That 'stuff' you 'confiscated' is 'mild' looking...We had to confiscate Almond Joys, Hersheys biggest 'special dark' chocolate bars, and the double size Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!!! What's this world coming to!!! Thanks,   Fran

Todd- your kids are beautiful! Your unsafe candy list looks suspiciously a lot like mine, with Now and Laters, and Bit O Honey candies included!

Fran - Not one special dark or double size Reese's Peanut butter cups in the bunch or they would have been in that box.

Alecia - I wish there was a bit-o-honey in there, I love those things!

Great looking kids you've got, Todd.  Those Reese's Peanut Butter Cups looked especially suspect.  Good call to confiscate those.  I confiscated my way to a bellyache myself.

I, too, was forced to take some "unsafe" mini-Butterfingers and Reese's, along with a few pieces of bubble gum and some Jolly Ranchers (simply too sticky to be safe).  Thanks for sharing this.  I can totally relate to the line about gun cleaning supplies.

Paul - You and me both my friend. Sorry it took so long to respond to your comment, was in a sugar coma.

Jason - If we can save just one kids' life by taking this candy, then we have do our jobs - lol
