Making Videos 101 - Windows Live Movie Maker (Editing)

Are you ready to let go of the fear? Are you ready to enter the world of YouTube?  Then quit procrastinating and get started now!

I recommend that you watch Videos that Make Your Phone Ring, to get learn about cameras, storage information, branding, etc. I wrote it at the time I made my first video a few months ago.

I'm not professing to be an expert by any means. My objective is to give you down and dirty get started now help. When you have a grasp of the basics and have moved past the fear stage, go out and read as many blogs as you can and of course, join the vloggers group to refine your skills. Praful listed several helpful videos in this re-post: Why Bloggers Should Use Video. To keep it simple I'll use a succinct list.

Videos are an essential part of e-marketing today. Research shows that while quality is great that "over produced" videos have a lesser impact compared to those that have imagination and personal style. Be genuine, be real, be you.

This movie is 12 minutes and 22 seconds. Normally I recommend no more than 2-3 minutes, however, it is impossible to teach you how to upload, edit, and publish a video in that length. You will need to take a few notes and to watch it more than once, so bookmark it! Disclaimer for Music: Some people use it but YouTube will remove your video if you don't have permission to use it. YouTube has music files built into their system, so I've heard from Katrina and a few others. I'll work on one this week and come back to this vlog with my verification. You can upload your own music in Windows Movie Maker but if you don't have permission you may get fined by the record company. These days they are looking for that. I have one movie with music and I have express permission from the artist since he's local and I know him.
