Good localism report Lenn. Doesn't seem like there's a big difference between average list and average sold. Is there a huge drop in demand?

We're coming next week to VA to see grandson for three days. Suspect there will be more to follow. Looking forward to being in your neck of the woods again. It's been a while. Sorry this trip is so short that I can't meet you and some of our other members while there. Hope next time is longer.

cheers

I enjoyed this.  Great Post Lenn.  I like how you broke it down to price ranges.  It makes so much more sense to me that way.  Of course, your lovely map makes it so much more "pretty", interesting and easy to understand.

BTW, I just couldn't resist adding that  . . . .  Silver Spring is about 6 miles to Capitol Hill in D.C.

Thanks,

Gary.  Thanks for commenting.  The number of sales is WAY down.  One zip code in Silver Spring has gone from 34 in 2005 to 26 in 2006 to 17 in 2007 for sales in September.

Our market is down approx. 40-60% for all locations in number of units closed.

Prices stay up, but DOM grows, fewer homes close and more agents eating grass in the streets.

Debbie.  Thanks - ADDED.
