Loopnote launched in private beta today. It is a service that allows users to join groups and receive regular information updates from the moderator of that group. Say you're in a band or you own an museum. You can use Loopnote to alert people about an upcoming exhibit. It works simply: Create a topic like "Blue Man Band" and let people subscribe to it. When you're ready to promote an event just post a note to your topic like "Blue Man Band 2nite at 9pm, The Forum". All subscribers will receive an alert with your note. People can subscribe via email, IM, text or RSS. I haven't figured out yet if there are uses for Realtors that would differ from features already available within MLS systems.

So far, Loopnote doesn't offer a chicklet that can be placed on a blog's side bar. I think I will try adding a link that will take the visitor to the subscription page. My trial is going to be a Loopnote that will alert buyers to new listings on popular lakes in my area.
