Throughout the years I have gathered a handful of friends, acquaintances and inspirations that have become my superheroes. They push me. They pull me. They challenge me. They cause me to grow. And I appreciate them.
One of my favorite online inspirations has done it again and I am thankful for her creativity and ingenuity. Without her I would not be half so excited to blog...
As we head from the night of "all things we could be" otherwise known as Halloween... to the land of the thankful... I realize that the two have much in common.
Maybe I'm not Batman or Spiderman... but I have the ability to change my world. And, I have the ability to be changed by my personal superheroes. The beautiful part? They don't need to worry because even the biggest and bestest superheroes around have flaws. But, the flaws don't diminish who they are... just make them stronger.
As we head into turkey season and a month of thankfulness... I'd like to begin by thanking my own personal superheroes.
Joni Staples is one of them. Fellow Rainer and dear friend. She has inspired me once again to look at November as a month to give thanks. A month to highlight those precious things that I am thankful for and to share them with my readers. Will you join the fun? The only reward? Finding out how rewarding it is to be thankful.
It may be a little "Pollyanna" but a very precious way to celebrate!
From my littlest superheroes to my biggest superheroes - I am thankful for the challenges that you present me with and the inspiration you give to get me through them!!!!!!
