Helping a Neighbor Family in Need
The birth of a child is a magical time of celebration, sharing and love. There’s nothing in the world that can compare to holding that little bundle of joy for the first time, hearing the gurgles and cries as it greets the world, and the smiles that looking down on an angelic little face can create.
But sometimes, Fate steps in and rains all over everyone’s parade, and this is one such occasion.
On October 10th, Kim and Jeff Lomoriello became the proud parents of a son, Christian James. Complications during delivery necessitated a Caesarean section, and then Kim developed a potentially life-threatening infection which required emergency surgery and many days on life support. Three weeks and several more procedures later, Kim’s future is still unknown and she remains in the hospital’s intensive care unit. Both Kim and Jeff are self-employed and they had hoped to go back to work soon after bringing Christian home but, sadly, that is not going to happen. Jeff’s days now are dedicated to taking extra special care of Christian, then driving to the hospital every day where he maintains his vigil at Kim’s bedside.
Kim and Jeff’s family and friends are doing everything they can to help them in their time of need, but they need our help. They would like to invite those who wish to help to a benefit dinner at Gouveia Vineyards, 1339 Whirlwind Hill Road in Wallingford on Wednesday, November 30th from 5:30 – 9:30 PM. The cost is $25.00 per person, and tickets may be purchased online HERE, or you can buy them at Imagine Hair Studio, 79 North Colony Road in Wallingford. If you cannot attend the benefit but still wish to make a donation, you can do that HERE or also at Imagine Hair Studio.
