Every mishap is also an opportunity!

I know that a broken mirror is supposed to bring 7 years of bad luck. *thinking hard about when I broke that mirror* But what could it possibly mean when you spill a gallon of paint? It's one of those did-that-just-happen-moments or maybe-if-I-just-close-my-eyes-it-will-disappear and you don't know whether to cry or to laugh.

Well, after the shock wore off, we decided to have a good laugh! Those stairs have been on our to-do-list forever and the carpet had to go anyway! There is no better time than now!

Every mishap is also an opportunity!

Teri: Admittedly, I felt like crying at first as it was one of those days but we decided to have a good laugh!

Marge: Ha! I'm sorry - no pics just the after-one! I was so busy with damage control, cleaning up before it gets on the hardwood, that I didn't think about it! Oh, I so should have!

Fred: I know! Not everybody can pull that one off! ;-) We were lucky though as it "only" spilled on that ugly carpet that we've been dying to get rid off - thank goodness the hardwood was spared!

Louise: After the initial OMG-moment, we just had to laugh! Those stairs have been in need of our TLC for a few years but we never got around to it. Now, we have to! :-) Attitude is everything - no point in throwing a fit about it, it is what it is - now lets make it better!

Love the attitude. Looks like the stairs just moved up on the to do list. A painter once spilled a dusky purple on our neutral carpet once....brand new carpet I might add. No need being upset. Just cut some out of a closet, patch the area and call it a day.

Hi Jeanean: wishing you a wonderful week as well! Mine will be quite hectic with hubby's ceremony etc. so no time yet to tackle the stairs! But it's all good - we'll get to it when we can truly make it beautiful, until then my mind is coming up with all sorts of creative options!
