Santa Clara Kenpo Academy has opened its doors on the corner of Homestead and Scott in Santa Clara, CA. The new school teaches primarily American Kenpo Karate and Muay Thai-style kickboxing with a full schedule of evening classes for beginners through advanced and juniors through adults.
American Kenpo Karate is a modern martial art developed by late Grandmaster Ed Parker (1931 – 1990) as a hybrid of Chinese, Japanese and other traditional martial arts and modern self defense techniques. Mr. Parker is universally considered the “Father of American Karate” and is known for introducing Bruce Lee and for having been an instructor to Elvis Presley and many other Hollywood celebrities.
Mr. Freddie Agonoy and Mrs. Sandra Agonoy, owners, lead an impressive instructional staff that includes many black belts with over 30 years experience. The academy is affiliated with the “American Kenpo Training System” (AKTS) family of Kenpo schools under the leadership of Master of the Arts Mr. John Sepulveda, a ninth degree black belt and former student of Mr. Parker. AKTS has dozens of affiliated schools in the US and internationally.
Drop by any weeknight to observe training and meet the staff.
