If I had three hours a day extra

If I had three hours a day extra I would devote them to my daughter. Being a single mom and real estate agent in this poor economy has been tough. Juggling a busy work schedule and after school activities etc for my eight year old is a challenge. An average day in our lives goes something like this.

“Good morning Skylar wake you gotta go to school” After whinning she is too tired to go to school.  I make her breakfast, pack her lunch, she gets dressed I walk the dog, drive her to school, head to the office myself, leave office at three thirty to take her to cheerleading practice, pick her up from practice and drop her off at moms to Babysit. I leave to show houses and apartment rentals.  Mostly I show rentals to people with 2 or 3 eight pound dogs who don’t share that information until after we view the property. Head back home pick up Skylar do homework, eat, shower, Bed.

If I could have three hours a day where I am not telling my daughter to "be quiet moms on the phone with a client" that would be amazing. I would play games, go for a bike ride, and we could even hopefully squeeze in a manicure since my nails have been painted green since last Friday for a Halloween Contest. Heck I would even take three hours extra a week.

It sounds like you have a lot on your plate even after breakfast.

Hi Sheri,  I so agree.  We spend so much time working that family time often suffers. Sadly, by the time I have free time (about 10:30 PM) my son has been in bed for an hour.  :-(  I feel your pain!

Sheri I literally just said this an hour ago. Not for the same reasons as you but I can relate. I'm sorry for your lack of time, I can relate to your situation because my mom was a single mom with 2 kids and worked and it was really tough for her to find time for things too. Hang in there.

Bringing you home...

I've never experienced the pain you feel, but I empathize. I love the time I have been given with my children and on more than one occasion I've chosen them over work... but it does not sound like you are in the place where you can do that. :( I hope that changes for you. Your daughter will only be eight once.....
