Well like many other markets across the country who's bubble burst many years ago the NYC metro area is just starting to see a big ripple affect of foreclosures hitting the market and prices depreciating. The NJ State Attorney General put off the banks foreclosure process on many of the banks here for the past 18mos do to robo signing investigation and in Aug 2011 they Ok'ed for banks to continue foreclosing. A typical day at the sherrif real estate auction is about 80-90 homes and about 40-50 make it to auction block. Dec 2nd there was an unprecendented 555 homes up for auction. Needless to say that the NJ Bubble Just Burst, just like i predicted in my article "2011 Housing Tsunami" that i wrote in 2010 for the local newspaper. I am investor also so can wait for some great deals to flip, like this Teaneck home i bought for CHEAP!!!!.
