The Sky is on Fire - Sunset in New Port Richey-Florida

I was on my way home from a SPCA Board meeting a couple of nights ago on what had been a beautiful, clear, breezy, low-humidity day. And, as I came through the gate this is what I saw. I reached for my camera (always with me as you know) and, horrors, it wasn’t there.

So I used my cell phone. Always the back up for me since I consider the photos inferior to my camera. But the picture turned out pretty good and all I did was add the frame.

I feel I should have something uplifting or motivating to say but, sorry, all I have is I’m thankful for being alive and seeing this gorgeous sunset. And, at least having a cellphone that takes pictures handy.

Beautiful, Toni.  I have spent every evening I can this week kayaking out to the Gulf to watch the sunsets.  Next week when daylight savings time is over, it will be too dark by the time I get home to go out to see.  Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful photo Toni, I've also used my cell phone in a pinch, but as you say camera quality is usually better.  Although many camera phones take greater resolution photos than some cameras they're just not as easy to stabilize.
