Barrington Hall’s popular Wednesday lecture series will continue in the fall of 2011 with six new lectures on historical topics of interest to Roswell and Georgia residents.

The lectures are held in the meeting room space of the barn at Barrington Hall. The doors open at 6:30 PM and the speaker begins their presentation at 7PM. The suggested admission is $5 and complimentary light refreshments will be available. Advance reservations are strongly suggested as seating space is limited. Wednesday, November 16, 2011: Dr. Keith Bohannon, Associate Professor of History at West Georgia University, will present “The Civil War Begins, 1861.”

 

Wednesday, November 30, 2011: Brian Wills, Professor of History at Kennesaw State University, will discuss “In 1861 was Robert E. Lee Past His Prime?”

 

Wednesday, December 7, 2011: Bill Browning, Staff Member at Barrington Hall, will speak about “Margaret Mitchell, Atlanta’s Daughter.”
