Another Sale in Pascack Valley-Yes, Folks, Homes are Selling!

I was driving this morning on my way to a Real Estate Seminar, and once again on the Radio I heard about problems in the Real Estate market.  My view is from someone down in the trenches, watching what is happening on a daily basis.  What I see is that although prices have adjusted. that homes are selling!  There are buyers out there negotiating contracts, and sellers moving on to new homes.

Perhaps if the media stopped to "smell the roses", they would notice the it is very difficult to generalize about the housing market, even if it does sell more papers and create more public attention to the TV and radio.

A local example:

I had one closing today, where I sold one of my listings.

Tomorrow we have an inspection on another one of my listings which went into Attorney Review this week.

A home whose offer was accepted last week (my buyer) is now formally in Contract as of today, awaiting inspections.

All contingencies met on one of my listings which will be closing in December.

All contingencies met on one of my lisitngs which will be closing next week.

The buyer on one of my lisitngs received his mortgage commitment today.  We will be closing in December.

Media, sit up and take notice..Homes are Selling in the Pascack Valley!!  We implore you to stop all the negative press and get with the program.  Let's report the news as it currently exits.
