Hi Bill, This is our 25th annual sand castle event and it seems to get better every year. This year we also have the " World Championships " coming in about two weeks ! Thanks for stopping by and commenting !

Bill - this always looks so interesting to me. There was one in Largo last weekend but we were all booked up and couldn't make it. I will try to keep that weekend open next year.
Hi Cal, We just finished with the World event and it was beyond our expectations. I volunteered to do the photography so had some great opportunities and lots of terrific pics.
Hi Yolanda & Toni, Visitos can't believe the detail and intricacy of the carvings. I guess that's why they call it the " World Championships " !!!

We have a mini-sand sculpting contest in Alameda, too...but they can't compare with some of the sculptures you show here.
The best part of this event is going out, having a good time, enjoying the beach and the sand, and reveling that you live in a great city!

Hi Cal, Lots going on here on Fort Myers Beach with the " American " event followed two weeks later by the " World " championships. I will post pics for the World event soon ! Thanks for stopping by...
I will have to post the Snow Sculpting contest during the winter carnival. I think the talent will be a little raw compared to these sand sculptures.
