Speechless Sunday – Multi-Tasking Gone Bad

My quest for calm and inner peace continues despite the many distractions in my life.  After my PC crash on Friday afternoon, and spending more than 10 hours yesterday restoring files and installing software, I realized I had not eaten.  Off to the kitchen to make a healthy meal:

All fresh broccoli, green beans, onion, bell pepper, zucchini, spinach, and tofu lightly steamed in organic vegetable broth – then lightly tossed with a peanut sauce. This is a quick meal - one that is not to be left unattended.

Your pan look like mine, Kathleen! I managed to ruin a pan heating---hot dogs!! Sometimes it's hard for me to remember I used to cook a couple of meals a day, day after day, for years. Double-tasking has it's perils.

Lottie,  Ditto on that.  My son used to tell me I should open a restaurant.  I cooked and baked all the time.  My goal to lose weight means I want to cook healthy meals – I am much better at throwing a frozen something in the oven and removing when the timer goes off (LOL)!  Thanks for stopping by,

Kathleen,  The last few days have been a trial with your computer!  I got a good chuckle from your picture of your pan.  Nothing will keep you down!!  Best wishes for a great week!

OH DEAR, Kathleen.  So, if you haven't already gotten this clean, here's the EASIEST and BEST way to clean a burnt pan.  Put water and some dish soap in the pan, place on the stove and bring the water to boil.  Then, let it simmer on low for a few minutes.  Turn it off, let it cool down, then wipe away all the grime.  So much easier than scrubbing and possibly hurting the finish on the pan.

Let me know how it works for you!!!!

Bud & Beth, I’ve made the dish several times.  It is easy. Just can’t walk away from it :-0

Melaine,  The PC issues has been challenging, at best.  I just keep plugging forward and praying.  Thanks for your comment.

Russel, It’s Sunday and I am still at it going strong.  It will take days before I have all my toolbars and settings back to where I want them.  Tell Zoey the Cool Cat I said … Meow!

Juli, I actually did get it clean.  I let it soak overnight and then used a little elbow grease.  It’s ready to cook another meal.Thank you so much for your tip!

Kathleen, I think we need to put you in a Bell Jar for a few days so you will be safe and can meditate. I am so sorry about your computer....and also for your lovely meal that burned. Each day will be better...just keep being positive! Having good thoughts for you and much happiness coming your way!

Jeanean,  LOL … I’m still plugging away here.  I like the idea of putting me in a bell jar so that I can meditate.  Now that I am meditating again, I know how important it is for me to continue to do it.  Things in my life may be scattered yet my mind and heart are at peace.  Thanks for your comment.

Hi Kathleen,

I have multi-tasked before and burned up a pan or two and really stunk up the house. That's why they sell pans at the store. I have overflowed the bathtub a few times too. Glad I had a lot of towels to clean it up.

Have a great weekend. I read your comments in Jeanean's blog. I am sure your dad was a wonderful man too. We  both have something to be proud of.

Kristin, Thankfully I have not overflowed the bathtub.  It's likely because I do not take the time to relax in the bathtub these days. Thanks for stopping by.
